Economic Systems, Once upon a time, there was a state which was descending every day in the depth of miseries, frustration and financial problems. She then started struggling for the survival and stability of her financial crises. She found a superb idea which took her in 50 years from bottom to top. She touched the moon and she then became one of the super atomic powers of the world. That superb idea was Planned Economy.
This is why dear addresses, I do oppose the statement “Planned Economy is a Bogus Economic System”.
Economic Systems with Mixed Market Economy
Welcome to the funeral. A planned economy is dead. Its dead body stinks. Let’s bury it. And how do I know, it’s dead? Well, I know it because I read it every day in the newspapers and textbooks, watch in the news channels, listen to it from famous politicians. Dear Audience, Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister always followed a policy.
“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.” A big lie and repeatedly saying it will make it seem true. Mr President, today’s propaganda works quite the same way. And my opponent is carrying the same policy.
Mixed Market Economy
Economic Systems: We are living in a system where on one hand, a family enjoys several dishes only on the breakfast table, and while on the other hand, a large number of people die with hunger. On one hand, a selfish and cunning minority enjoy the heavenly luxuries of life every second; such as the approach to the latest technology, delicious foods, adequate leisure, tours, bank balance and what not. While on the other hand, the industrious majority are found cursing life every moment.
On one hand, a city gives the view of paradise with plane roads, fancy shopping malls, controlled population, sky-touching buildings, parks and concerts; while on the other hand, places like Afghanistan, villages of Pakistan and India, Africa, Latin America and other 3 rd world countries seem to be like living hell.
On one hand, a limited minority is blessed with all the gifts of 21 st century such as N97 mobile sets, latest Mercedes, laptops, space tour and others. And on the other hand, many areas of the world are still living in the Stone Age.
This is the photo album of our world, filled with diverse resemblances. Sir! What else can we expect from an economic system with a partial, biased and unfair outlook? Industries are established deliberately in the rich cities keeping in view only and only the profit ratio; irrespective of the earnest and deserving consumers. This is what we call ‘Free Market Economy’.
An economy which is only for the rich and mercilessly wrecks the poor just like a savage monster. An economy that prefers to bless the few with milk and honey while frightens the rest with poverty, hunger and distress.
Disadvantages of Mixed Economic System
Economic Systems: The planned economy has proved to be the best economic system even in its worst form; because it refers to the combined development of humanity, and modern history fully supports my proclamation. Despite the terrible blow to agriculture by Stalin's forced collectivization in the early 1930s, from which agriculture never fully recovered, yet again progress was made and allowed Russia to feed her population adequately. Such economic advancement, in so short a time, has no parallel anywhere in the world.
The growth of the economy meant a steady improvement in living standards. The great majority of Russians in the past period possessed such things as TV sets, refrigerators and washing machines. And all this had been achieved without unemployment or inflation.
Rents were fixed at about 6 per cent of the monthly income and were last increased in 1928. A small flat in Moscow, up until recently, cost about £11 a month, which included gas, electricity, telephone and unlimited hot water. Again, bread was around 16 pence a kilo and, like sugar and most basic foodstuffs, last went up in price in 1955.
Meat and dairy products prices were last increased in 1962. This situation only began to change in the 1980s. With the move towards capitalism, this situation has radically changed since subsidies were cut and price controls abolished.
In 1993 inflation reached 2,600 per cent, and although it has fallen back since then, still remains high.
Economic Systems, In the moribund of my speech, I would say that the laws of the development of capitalism as a socio-economic system were brilliantly analyzed by Marx in the three volumes of Capital. However, the development of a nationalized planned economy, which is a prerequisite to the movement towards socialism, takes place in an entirely different manner.
The laws of capitalism are expressed in the blind play of market forces, through which the growth of the productive forces takes place in an automatic fashion, which eventually takes the world to incomplete and uneven development. Today’s class differences are the aftermath of the same mess.
The law of value, expressed through the mechanism of supply and demand, allocates the resources from one sector to another. There is no such plan or conscious intervention in Capitalism and its economy. Therefore revolution for a planned system is the last way out of this system of exploitation and nepotism.
